Our veterinary dermatologists are here for you and your dog

No matter what skin condition your dog has, we have seen it before. Every skin condition can be managed with therapies that we can prescribe and/or procedures that we can do in our office, so please do not give up hope if your dog’s condition has been hard to treat. Our pricing is transparent and reasonable, and we treat patients throughout the state of CT and the surrounding states. We are taking new patients and will be happy to treat your dog.

Veterinary dermatologists diagnose and treat diseases of the skin of animals. This includes a wide spectrum of diseases, ranging from allergies and ear infections to auto-immune disease and skin cancer. Skin disease can also present as a manifestation of an underlying internal disease process. Veterinary dermatologists are therefore also trained in otoscopy, immunology, allergy, and internal medicine. Veterinary dermatologists must be board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD). The purpose of the ACVD is to promote excellence in veterinary dermatology, oversee postgraduate training in veterinary dermatology, sponsor research, and organize scientific and educational programs for both veterinary dermatologists and general practitioners. There are currently about 300 ACVD board-certified veterinary dermatologists worldwide, including our two doctors.

Yes, we also see cats 🙂, but most of our patients are dogs. As Connecticut’s only clinic dedicated to veterinary dermatology, we are here for you and ready to treat your dog.

Phenomenal. Dr. Falk was able identify and treat our dog’s severe skin condition that other vets and dermatology doctor was not. Kindness and compassion showed to both owners and pers. Definitely 5 stars

After months of struggling to get to the route of my poodles ear issues which started to effect her eyes my vet contacted Dr. Falk. she sent all of her tested and and treatments we have tried which haven't helped. Dr. Falk rearranged her schedule to expedite my girls visit and I could not be happier!! She is an absolute genius and after just 2 weeks my girl is back to acting like her old self. No more constant head shaking/pain and discomfort. The entire staff including the manager Laura have been amazing! I highly recommend this practice amd now I just wish I had visited sooner.

Our cat Frankie has been suffering for years from skin irritation that caused her to lick all of the fur off of her back and hind legs. After taking her to multiple veterinarians, trying countless different foods and being told multiple times that "they are sure it is just Flea dermatitis but they can't find any Fleas on her, and being told that the root cause of her allergies was unknowable, we almost gave up. As a last ditch effort we reached out to Dr. Falk at Unleashed Dermatology and WE CAN NOT BE HAPPIER. Dr. Falk immediately recommending an off label medication that has been working a miracle for Frankie. Within a few weeks we had our cat back to being healthy and we were able to get a blood panel that outlined exactly what her allergies were. I cannot recommend Dr. Falk enough. She saved us time, money, and a lot of pain watching my cat suffer. If you are considering coming, I would make the call for an appointment.
