Elena DeJesus

Raised in the Pocono Mountains, Elena developed an early commitment to animal care through volunteering with the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and various local animal shelters.

She began her career in veterinary medicine as a Client Service Representative in Monroe County and has since built a well-rounded background that includes nine years of experience in general practice and emergency medicine, along with three years specializing in animal behavior

She is now a dedicated veterinary technician at Unleashed Veterinary Dermatology, where her curiosity and passion for veterinary dermatology have shaped her professional path. Elena is deeply committed to continued learning and is working on getting further certifications.

Outside of the clinic, Elena spends much of her free time with her five-year-old Italian Greyhound, Cannoli, and loves snowboarding at destinations across the US and abroad. Elena also enjoys DJ’ing on Twitch and practicing “shuffling,” an improvised dance style that originated in the 1980s Australian rave scene.
