Elizabeth Falk is a board-certified veterinary dermatologist. Recognizing Connecticut’s unmet need for veterinary dermatology specialists, she founded Unleashed Veterinary Dermatology in 2024. She has been one of Connecticut’s most sought after specialists for a number of years. Prior to her role at Unleashed, she founded the dermatology service at a university-affiliated specialty medicine practice in Stamford, CT, where she worked from 2017-2024.

Dr. Falk graduated from the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed an internship followed by 5 years in general practice. Her passion for dermatology led to a specialty internship in the field, followed by a residency in dermatology at Tufts University.

She enjoys all facets of dermatology, with a particular interest in allergies and auto-immune diseases. Her research has focused on dermatologic side-effects of chemotherapy in dogs and on the common auto-immune diseases, pemphigus foliaceus and perianal fistulas.

Dermatologic diseases are some of the most common health issues that pets face, ranging from allergies and ear infections to auto-immune diseases. Many of these diseases need chronic management, which requires the pet owner, specialist and primary care veterinarian to work together as a team to ensure the best outcome. Dr. Falk relishes the diagnostic challenge of complex cases, but her favorite aspect of her job comes from working as part of this team, to make her patients as healthy as possible and to help nurture the human-animal bond.
